11 April 2009, WWII US Army Soldier Training Day, Stonington, CT

Time: 08:00-16:00
Training Manual: FM 21-100..FM22-5

OPEN TO ALL US Army WWII Reenactors, Contact : Corporal Floyd (ccfloyd@att.net ) for directions.

1. Uniform of the Day:

A. M-1937 Wools, M1941 Jacket, Leggings (Preferred) Or M43 Jacket & Boots
B. Unit Commander’s Discretion (In lieu of wools, HBT's are Acceptable)
C. M1 Helmet (Steele Pot)
D. M1 Garand Rifle (If no Rifle Spare’s may be provided upon request, Lt. Dugrenier Rambo26yd@aol.com )

2. Plan of the Day:
A. 08:00 First formation, Roll Call, Introduction to Instructors and Plan of the Day
B. 08:15 – 09:15 Military Drill, D&C.
C. 09:15 – 10:15 Care & Maint Uniforms of US Infantry Soldier WWII.
D. 10:15 - 11:15 Signal Corps, Runner/Messenger class
E. 11:15-11:55 M1 Rifle, Braek down.
F. 12:00-12:30 Lunch Break
G. 12:30 -15:30 Platoon & Squad Tactics. (Full Field Gear)
H. 15:30-16:00 Recognition of US Infantry Weapons.
I. 16:00 Final formation, Closing Comments by senior staff and Instructors.

Note: Training will be conducted with Axis forces in the area.

3. Courses.
Military Drill, To Include Drill with and without arms.
WWII US Infantry Soldier Uniforms Care of.
Platoon & Squad Tactics. Tactical Formations, Attack and Defense of the Platoon.
Identification of US Infantry Weapons. Q&A forum.
M1 Garand, US Infantry Weapon Braek Down.
This training day will include testing for SGT.
