12-14 June 209, "Day of Days", Stonington, CT

“Day of Days”
Sponsored by the LHA - WWII Committee

How many times have you watched Band of Brother or Saving Private Ryan and said to yourself "I wish a re-enactment could be like this!" Now here’s your chance, the LHA - WWII Committee presents “Day of Days”.
A one of a kind event with just as much action as the movies you love to watch. The battle will take place on about a 200 acre site with a road network and varied terrain. You’ll find all the sites and sound of your favorite movies brought to life. A downed Waco Glider plus full size reproductions of German field artillery pieces await you entrenched in a hedgerow. With the German Artillery Battery blasting away at the beaches of Normandy, causing death and destruction.
The questions for the Allies are: Are you smart enough to find the missing supplies that are vital to the mission? Then, are you tough enough to invade and take out the entrenched Germans or will they continue to rain fire down on the beaches?
The questions for the Germans are: Is this really the “Invasion” so talked about or just a massive diversionary raid? Can the Artillery Battery, supported by New England’s only German Communication Squad, continue its mission or will it fall to the hands of the invaders from across the Channel?
Only you, my fellow re-enactors, can decide the outcome!
