7-9 November 2008, WADE HOUSE FALL TACTICAL, Greenbush, WI

SEPTEMBER 1944: HOLLAND

September, 1944. Summer is over; the charge through France has stalled as supply lines stretch back to Normandy and German resistance stiffens as their lines shorten and they draw closer to the fatherland.

Briefly disorganized by their rapid retreat, German units are reorganizing faster than intelligence has indicated. Meanwhile, certain SS units are resting and refitting in the west, unknown to all but a handful of Dutch resistance fighters whose credibility is not taken for granted by the Allies.

Monty has a bold plan to break through across the Rhine and end the war before Christmas.

The scenario: Allied Airborne parachute infantry will be dropped to secure landing zones and set up a perimeter for the follow-on glider troops. Land forces will attempt to break through and join them, and secure the road net.

The German forces will have to hold certain strategic points and prevent Allied control of the main roadways.

Objective-based full-immersion tactical. All areas will be in play at all times, including CPs / encampments. Emphasis on maneuver and tactics.

There will be no pauses for breaks or meals. Commanders must see to the needs of the men, rotating to the rear for rest and meals, or bringing food up to the front lines.

Good communications are essential. Each independent maneuver unit must provide a hand held FRS/GMRS compatible radio and maintain contact with Allied or German HQ
