As reenactors how many time have you gone to events and wondered were your event fees went to? Yes they are used to pay the bills but who gets the extra or does it line someones pocket?
The members of the 99th Infantry Division Historical Society ,Inc, who sponsor The Bridge at Remagen, 1945 in Tidioute wish to tell you of our newest project.

Operation: Christmas Hope. This fund was established by Patrick M. Tarasovitch, my father, and the unit itself to honor a local wounded veteran and his family from our current wars.
The money that is raised throughout the year with our German and GI dogtags plus some of the event's registration fees go into this worthy fund. This year at our annual Squad Christmas Party we presented 1000.00 to Sean Kazmierczak from Erie ,Pa. Also present were his wife Stephanie and their daughter. Sean was a MP Marine in Iraq. He was wounded by a roadside bomb that exploded near his Humvee. His wounds to his legs were extensive. And he and his family are trying to make ends meet and return to school. With this small amount it will help make their Christmas alittle brighter.
We feel it is time for us reenactors to help our local wounded Veterans and their families from our current wars. They have given their all so it is time we too give them a helping hand and say "Thank You". What better way then on Christmas.
Operation : Christmas Hope will be a part of the 99th Infantry Division for years to come. We are already in search of another family for 2012. At Remagen in Tidioute ,Pa . you and your unit can learn more about our mission.
