7 January 2017, Paikbil-ni Winter 1950 Guerrilla TACTICAL, Pikeville, TN

Pikeville, Tennessee

November, 1950: The 18th Regiment has been destroyed in combat by US Marines along the Naktong. The NKPA is shattered after the Incheon landing and the Pusan Perimeter breakout. As we stagger north with nary the cloths on our backs we are cut off by UN forces around Chorwon. Held together soleley by our officers' cruel discipline, we take to the hills as guerrillas. But the tables will soon turn dramatically...

UN forces in the vicinity of Paikbil-Ni have occupied a commanding hill mass and reinforced it with a howitzer covering a strategic crossroads. We must seize this plot of our sacred Korean soil to prevent its use as a base for anti-guerrilla operations by the imperialists and puppet troops. It will be a tough mission but we can expect aid from our fraternal ally, China. We have acquired a 37mm mortar for fire support.

As this will take place during a period where the NKPA fought mostly as guerrilla remnants, there is a chance to get creative with your impression. Feel free to use correct civilian items and other flotsam to outfit yourselves. Also, we expect it to be FREEZING. By all means acquire a winter uniform of some sort. If you want to wear something weird just let me know first. Regs on winter clothing will be generally lax to prevent hypothermia.

OPERATIONAL SECURITY ALERT: Some group members are thinking about falling in with UN Forces. That's totally cool and I welcome the opportunity to have a friendly fight with them. But for those of you falling in with 18th Regiment, keep that in mind when posting stuff about our operational plans. It's no fun for either side if they know what we're going to do. Enemy spies are everywhere.
