October 13 Stone Park, IL WWII event – Prelude to Invasion – at Casa Italia in Stone Park (suburb close to the south west cit of Chicago). Pre-registered reenactors get food lunch and dinner. Beds available inside for $20 per person. Park is 16 acres of wooded and landscaped land east of Mannheim Road between North Ave. and Lake Street. Event is restricted to Allied units only, encampments and displays only, no battles with Pre-registration required. Contact Vito Abbinante at (630) 779-3261 for more details.

Gentlemen,
The Italian American Museum located in Stone Park, IL is proud to sponsor this event, along with B company, 502nd PIR, 101st Abn(reenacted). This event is being held on the wonderful grounds of an old Catholic seminary. The site is 16 acres, and includes many rustic well maintained buildings, as well as an outdoor pavilion. Lodging is available on site to reenactors for as little as $20 per night.
Meal vouchers for the event will be provided to all reenactors participating in the event, as well as coffee and donuts on Saturday morning of the event.
This event is a display only event for now, but is looking to expand in the future, to include both Saturday and Sunday, as well as including battle scenarios during the event. All allied ETO units are very welcome to attend.

Any unit wishing to attend would be very welcome. The Italian American Veterans Museum is an organization dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of not only Italian American veterans, but all American veterans that have served for this great country.
